London – The results of a study done by Dr. Francesca F. Caputi, research fellow of the Department of Pharmacy and Biotechnology at the University of Bologna, have been published in the prestigious “Pharmacological Research” magazine. As part of the Romualdi – Candeletti research team at the Molecular Neuropharmacology laboratories of Alma Mater, Dr. Caputi has recently identified the existence of epigenetic modifications that the organizers of the Endogenous Opioid System genes after exposure to MDMA or “ecstasy”.
