Bucharest – After the first week of Italian Cuisine in the World, which in Bucharest has been a success, “Made in Basilicata” is represented by traditional Lucan dishes. Every week at the Palazzo Italia in Bucharest, headquarters of the Association Lucani nel Mondo, Rocco Sileo and Enza Barbaro held meetings and cooking classes. They present Lucan recipes to guests from different countries of the Balkans, making sense of the combination of ingredients, of the opportunities to cook a dish rather than another. They are the narrators of history, culture and art of Lucania cuisine. Home-made pasta and baked bread with turnips and cruschi are the most sought after recipeies. One of the rooms of the restaurant Origini Lucane has developed into a large square of one of the small towns of Basilicata reconstructing the atmosphere of Basilicata culture, while the menu is presented in a rich brochure with images of the tourist heritage of Basilicata with the list of typical products, from cold cuts to caciocavallo, to the canestrato of Moliterno and to cruschi of Senise.
