(January 24, 2017) The United States celebrates Italian”brains”. The Conference of Italian researchers in the world, to be held March 25 in the auditorium of the Italian Consulate General in Houston, Texas, is back. The conference reaches its the twelfth edition, and it’s organized by the Comites of Houston (representative of the Arkansas, Louisiana, Texas, and Oklahoma states) and the Italian General Consulate, and will host Italian researchers of different fields such as natural science and liberal arts, technology, and medicine, united by nationality, field of study or membership in public and private organizations. The event aims to disseminate as much as possible research and lessen the gap between science and liberal arts: it will be open to both the scientific community and the general public to highlight the work of Italian researchers in the United States. The 12th Conference of Italian researchers in the world should extend to the migratory experiences of which the researchers themselves are the protagonists. As every year it will host the award ceremony of the literary prize sponsored by Comites Houston: This year the students of middle and high schools have worked on essays on the topic “Italy and creativity: brands and costumes, fashion and design.” (Red)
