Istanbul. Today Minister Calenda will visit Istanbul where he will preside, along with the Turkish Minister for the Economy Nihat Zeybekci, for the first Joint Economic and Trade Commission (JETCO) meeting. The two ministers will then take part in the Italy-Turkey Business Forum organised by Confindustria, ICE Agency and the Turkish counterpart, Deik. There are about 560 permanently active Italian companies in Turkey mainly in the service, automotive, marine and infrastructure sectors. In Baku, Minister Calenda will take part in the Advisory Council of the Southern Gas Corridor ministerial meeting and the Azerbaijan-Italy Business Forum which will be attended by approximately fifteen Italian companies, including non-oil&gas sectors (food industry, telecommunications and pharmaceuticals).
