Thanks to an innovative technique, it is possible to identify protein’s and biomarker’s ‘fingerprints when they are in small amounts and to therefore successfully carry out an early diagnosis of neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The research was lead by a team from the Institute of Applied Physics (Ifac-Cnr) in collaboration with the Institute of microelectronics and microsystems (Imm-Cnr), the Chemistry and Geological Science Department of the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and the Saratov State University in Russia.
