Muscat – Starts today a major Italian trade mission in Oman, the first in the Middle Eastern country. More than 80 companies, including many SMEs, will be in Muscat together with Confindustria, Sace, Simest and Ice Agency. The mission will be led by Undersecretary for International Trade and Investment Attraction of Ministry of Economic Development Ivan Scalfarotto. “Our exports to Oman – said Scalfarotto – have tripled in ten years. This is a country whose government launched an infrastructure investment plan for over 100 billion dollars. I am convinced that the Italian engineering, which is an excellence of Made in Italy same as elegance and food, can play a leading role in this area, building joint economic development and improving trade and investments”.
