The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Angelino Alfano, commented on the outcome of the referendum in Turkey: “We take note of the referendum outcome and we await the completion of the standard verification procedure and the final evaluation of OSCE – ODIHR. Meanwhile – in line with Turkey’s Council of Europe membership – we are hoping internal tensions within the country cool down as well as the the involvement of the opposition in the implementation of reforms”.
