Islamabad – Eni wins an international contest for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to Pakistan. Eni will provide a load per month for the next 15 years to the state-owned company Pakistan LNG, for a total of 180 loads, corresponding to a quantity of more than 11 million tonnes of LNG. LNG volumes that will be sold annually by Eni correspond to 25% of Pakistan’s total LNG imports in 2016. Pakistani is one of the world’s fastest-growing LNG markets. LNG will satisfy the growing Pakistani energy needs, enabling Eni to further consolidate its presence in the country, where it has been for years in a leading position in domestic natural gas production. The LNG of the new contract will be largely from the Indonesian field Jangkrik, strating in less than two months and will also supply the Chinese market. (9colonne)
