(May 3, 2017) The Italian Institute of Culture in Tirana, in collaboration with the European University of Tirana, the University of Scutari “L. Gurakuqi “, the University of Valona “I. Qemali”, the EUIC Office of Scutari and Valona and the Consulate General of Italy in Valona, organizes – on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the signing of the Treaties of Rome – the screening of the documentary “Europe Before Europe. The Manifest of Ventotene”, in several cities of Albania in the presence of director Salvatore Braca. The first event will take place on May 9 at 11 am at the European University of Tirana; It will be replicated on May 10 at 11 am at the library of the University of Scutari and on May 11 at 11 am at the Consulate General of Italy in Valona. The he projection will be followed by a discussion which will be attended, by the director, by Ardian Civici, the President of the European University, by Alberto Cutillo, the Ambassador of Italy and by Loredana Cornero, secretary general of the Italian radio and television community. At the margins of the projection it will also be shown part of the ever expanding exhibition “Ever Closer Union”, curated by the Historical Archives of the European Union and the European University Institute and promoted by the Embassy of Italy in Tirana.
