Abu Dhabi – The European Multi Mission Frigate (FREMM) Carabiniere of Italian Navy arrived this morning in Abu Dhabi where it will remain until May 12. The frigate arrived in the capital of the United Arab Emirates after stops in Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Australia, Indonesia, Singapore, Malaysia, Pakistan, Oman, Kuwait, Qatar and again in Saudi Arabia, taking part in several exercises with locals marines. The Carabiniere Ship campaign, launched in La Spezia on December 20, reflects an international vision that covers this beginning of the millennium as a “blue century.” The “blue growth” is considered to be a key factor for a sustainable development of Italy in a context where maritime development is a key resource for commercial, employment and technological growth.
