Munich – On the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation, is in program the conference of Prof. Alberto Melloni, “The second mile of interreligious dialogue”, to be held on Wednesday 17 May at 6:30 pm at the Italian Cultural Institute of Munich. Theology of religions and interreligious dialogue have marked an extraordinary parable in the twentieth century, allowing religious authorities to go along for the first mile, characterized by often authentic fraternities and mutual respect, without thereby reaching a historical-theological depauperation. The first mile was run with difficulty. Matthew’s Gospel portrays the words of Jesus (Mt 5,41) “And if one will force you to make a mile, you will have two with him.” 500 years from the Luther Reform, what is the second millennium of dialogue between faiths and peace between cultures? Alberto Melloni talks to Gianmaria Zamagni. (9Colonne)
