Brussels. Improving the professional profile of students and giving teachers and entrepreneurs the skills that enable them to adapt quickly to new trends in development. This is the objective of the European project ‘beFORE’, which also includes the participation of the Department of Civil and Industrial Engineering at the University of Pisa. The project, “Becoming Future-Oriented Entrepreneurs” (beFORE), aims to transform university-based entrepreneurship education systems, staff training, and enterprise creation through the adoption of a future-oriented perspective. Among the project partners is also Erre Quadro, a spin-off of the University of Pisa, which contributes by bringing its multi-year experience in patent analysis and technological foresight. The project involves universities, research institutes, and companies from four countries: Italy, Germany, Spain, and Poland. The leader is the Institute for Sustainable Technologies – the National Research Institute in Radom, Poland while the other partners are universities and companies that oversee entrepreneurship and foresight, namely the Mondragon University, the Freie University of Berlin, the Białystok University and the companies Erre Quadro, Valuedo, Aveniture, Prospektiker and 4CF.
