Tbilisi. Anas International Enterprise (Aie) – a subsidiary of the Anas Group, signed a contract for the design of the new motorway in Tbilisi, Georgia’s capital. This is a result of the bid set by the Roads Department of Georgia’s Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure, funded by the Asian Development Bank in July 2016. The contract signed by Aie involves the study and design of a new 85 km stretch of motorway, within the infrastructure development plan of Georgia. In particular, the route will cover Zhinvali – Natakhtari (30 km) and the Natakhtari – Rustavi (55 km). The activities carried out by the Italian party headed by Aie, which also include IRD Engineering Srl and Gestione Progetti Ingegneria Srl, have a total value of €7.2 million. The first phase of the project consists of an analysis of technical, environmental, economic and financial feasibility and the second phase consists of a detailed design of the motorway. (9Colonne)
