(June 19, 2017) On the occasion of the Shanghai International TV Festival (June 13-15), ANICA President Francesco Rutelli signed, in the presence of the Italian Consul General Stefano Beltrame, of the ANICA International Relations Manager and Italtrade Audiovisual Desk Coordinator Roberto Stabile, and Shanghai Italtrade Director Claudio Pasqualucci, an important strategic agreement with Shanghai Media Group, one of the leading media conglomerates in China. With the Memorandum of Understanding SMG it is committed to collaborating with ANICA over the next three years to support and promote the creation of co-production projects between Italy and China in the television field including films, documentaries, TV series and cartoons . A collaboration that marks a further step forward in enhancing audiovisual promotion events, developed thanks to the China Project, which ANICA is pursuing for DG Cinema and in collaboration with Italtrade. The protocol also wants to encourage the import, distribution and projection of other country movies. SMG has 15 cable and satellite television networks, 13 radio frequencies, 15 pay TV channels, 8 newspapers and magazines.
