Sarajevo. On 30 June, the Italian Ambassador to Sarajevo, Nicola Minasi, attended a presentation of the activities carried out by Italian companies in Mrkonjic Grad. The initiative, promoted by the Mayor of Mrkonjic Grad, Divna Anicic, emphasised the contribution towards the development of the local economy of “Prowood”, which operates in the production of wood products, R-S Silicon and AL.FE.MA – active in metal processing. Overall, the three companies employ about 250 people. In addition to mayor Anicic, important representatives of the Republika Srpska government took part in the event, including Zlatan Klokic, Minister for Economic Relations and Regional Cooperation; and Zeljka Stojicic, Vice President of the Republika Srpska National Assembly. In his speech, Ambassador Minasi expressed the hope of strengthening Italian collaboration and investment in other sectors of the local economy, starting with tourism. (9Colonne)
