(10 July 2017) Lucan House, the residence of the Italian Ambassador to Ireland, is a Palladian villa located near the village of Lucan, just a short distance from Dublin. The place is particularly fascinating due to the proximity of the river Liffey. The residence is surrounded by a large park with many historical architectural artefacts. Lucan House is considered one of the most prestigious diplomatic residences in Europe today and represents a historic and artistic treasure of great importance for both Italy and Ireland. It is located in this charming, fascinating place, which will host a summer afternoon filled with music. On Friday, July 14 (at 15:30) at the Ambassador’s residence there will be a concert featuring a trio composed of the Italian Rita D’Arcangelo (flute), the Canadian Margaret Bruce (piano) and the Irish Dearbhla Nolan (trumpet). The trio will perform a programme of composers such as Gaetano Donizetti, Antonio Bazzini, Claude Debussy, and others. (Red)
