(July 24, 2017) The work of the Italian Language Advisory Group, established last year under the umbrella of the MoU signed by Italy and South Australia, continues to strengthen the teaching of the Italian language in the region. The group – reads the website of the Consulate of Italy in Adelaide – has as its main objectives: identifying challenges and exploring joint initiatives in order to increase the involvement of students and their continuation in language learning; Collaborate with other departments of the Government of South Australia, representatives of the Italian community, Italian institutions and the Third Sector on the promotion of Italian language and culture. These goals will have to be included in the context of the new foreign teaching strategy that the Ministry of Education and Child Development is finalizing in recent months. (Red)
