Moscow. From September 6th to October 22, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art (Mmoma) will host a review by the painter Giosetta Fioroni, one of the most significant representatives of the so-called “Italian Pop”. Pop art, abbreviation of “Popular Art” was born in England in the late 1950s and flourished in America a decade later, and then arrived to Europe. This exhibition is showcases the artists work during the sixties, her most active period. Born in Rome in 1932 to a family of artists, she lived in Paris from 1959 to 1963 where Denise Breteau’s gallery featured her in a solo exhibition. Upon her return to Rome, she was the only female figure to be part of a movement called the School of Piazza del Popolo with which she participates in the Venice Biennale of 1964. (9colonne)
