(28 August 2017) The Italian Cultural Institute of Los Angeles will host a double workshop session on October 7th and 14th, on the study of genealogy and migratory movements, devoted to the many families that migrated from Southern Italy to the United States. During the two meetings, led by Bill Cellini, a scholar with 25 years of experience in the field, research techniques and the use of relevant documents (immigration registers, government, and ecclesial documents) will be illustrated to establish travel routes, the city of origin, and personal stories.
