Hornsdale. In eastern Australia, history-making work is underway to build what will be the largest battery storage facility in the world. The new innovative plant, designed by Musk and Tesla, will be next to 99 Neoen turbines in the Hornsdale wind farm and will connect the AC Transmission Network of South Australia with two functions: unused renewable energy storage and the energy release during peak demand. All in all, there is a piece of ‘made in Italy’. It is in fact the Italian Prysmian Group, through its subsidiary Prysmian Australia, to provide Hornsdale Wind Farm with cables through CPP (Consolidated Power Projects) company, which is the contractor responsible for the installation, testing, and commissioning of the 33kV cross-linked system.
