Pecs.The Ceremony for the 29th Anniversary of the Magna Charta Universitatum took place in Pécs. The Rector of the University of Bologna, Francesco Ubertini, who attended the ceremony, said: “It has been nearly 30 years since the signing of the Magna Charta Universitatum, which took place in 1988 in Bologna and today there are more than 800 universities that share and support the same academic values, such as the independence of research, the value of teaching and the condemnation of all forms of intolerance. Thanks to the Magna Charta Universitatum, universities can break any geographical and political barrier and affirm the vital necessity of integrating different cultures and knowledge”. (9colonne)
