Tehran. In the framework of the 2017 promotional activity, the ICE Agency is organising an Italian collective participation in the 2017 edition of the Iran International Electricity Exhibition, to be held in Tehran from 4 to 7 November 2017 at Tehran International Exhibition & Convention Centre in collaboration with the Association of Anie – National Federation of Electrical and Electronic Companies. Over the last two decades, the Iranian energy industry has undergone an important transformation in order to meet its growing domestic demands, intense industrialisation and ambitions in the exportation of electricity. The MOE (Ministry of Energy) has launched a global plan to reduce the significant inefficiencies in all segments of the electricity sector. Over the next few years more than 400 power plants and nearly 40 electricity distribution companies with a capacity of 73 GigaWatts (GW) and a total value of $ 5.8 billion will be involved in this overall restructuring plan.
