Amman. An evening of great cuisine from Italy and Sorrento in particular was held yesterday in Amman, Jordan. Professor Filippo De Maio, renowned chef and instructor at the “San Paolo” Specialist Institute in Sorrento, with a delegation from the hospitality department of the school in Jordan, in a series of promoted events as part of Italian Cuisine Week, in Amman for the second consecutive year. The students of the “San Paolo” Institute, were the protagonists of the “cooking show” that was held at the Italian Restaurant Spago in Amman’s “7th Circle”. The “gems” chosen for the evening were the typical Scialatielli, a homemade pasta and seasoned with cherry tomatoes, aubergines, and basil. (9colonne)
