Beijing. The Integrated Architectural Restoration Laboratory of the Department of Engineering and Architecture of the University of Udine organised a study day on the preservation of architectural heritage in the Himalayas in collaboration with the Achi India Association – a non-profit private-sector organisation based in Switzerland engaged in the preservation of the endangered Buddhist cultural heritage in the Himalayas. The study day will begin at 9.30 in the room 51 of the Rizzi Science Centre, in Via delle Scienze 206. Architects and scholars will talk about some significant restorations conducted in the Buddhist temples of the Wanla valley. The topic will also be the subject of Gianmarco Mattiolia’s degree thesis, a graduate student at the University of Udine, on Choskhor House in the city of Leh.
