Paris. Alberto Angela wins over French and German audiences with his “Stanotte a Venezia” (Tonight in Venice) co-produced by RaiCom and Arte. Listings well above the network average were recorded by the Franco-German channel which aired the international version of the program broadcast in June on Rai1. Angela guided French and German viewers through a night around the lagoon, until the pink reflections of dawn reappeared on the water. A stage full of art, love stories, intrigues, and trades. A journey through famous artistic masterpieces, among the precious marbles and gold of the mosaics in the Basilica of San Marco, the silence of the lagoon, the sparkling of the Grand Canal, but also behind the scenes of the Fenice Theatre or the18th century Venetian ‘ridotti’s’ . “The positive ratings obtained by Alberto Angela is the clear demonstration of the high professionalism achieved by our Company which is able to preserve its excellence and the value of great professionals who have trained with Rai and within Rai, as well as in international markets” stated Director General, Mario Orfeo. “The effectiveness of the agreement with Arte is therefore confirmed, allowing two major European television groups to enrich the production of content for national and international programming”.
