Shanghai. With “Walking On The Fade Out Lines”, the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Foundation presents itself in Shanghai, starting an important collaboration with the Rockbund Art Museum. It is a collection consisting of 29 works by 23 artists from all over the world and includes paintings, interactive installations, photographs, and videos, in part from the Sandretto Re Rebaudengo Collection, and in part were commissioned to two Chinese artists, Song Tao and Zhang Ruyi. The exhibition will be open to the public from Saturday March 24th until Sunday May 27th, at the Rockbund Art Mueseum in Shanghai. “Walking On The Fade Out Lines” is an invitation to revisit history, explore unknown cities and regions. Through a poetic elaboration, the exhibition aims to transform the intrinsic understanding of the cognitive structures that had established predefined paths, and to offer a plurality of interpretive perspectives. For over twenty years the Fondazione Sandretto Re Rebaudengo has been committed to contemporary art and culture. Based in Turin, it is an observatory on the artistic trends and cultural languages of the present, between art, music, dance, literature, and design. Since 1995, it has supported young Italian and foreign artists, with particular attention to the commission and production of new works. The main goal of the Rebaudengo Foundation is the promotion of contemporary art to a growing audience. (9Colonne)
