The contemporary art exhibition “Dostoevsky and Florence: Prince Miškin turns 150 years” by Italian artist, Davide Constantini will open on April 10th at the Dostoevsky Museum in St. Petersburg and remain open until May 10th. The exhibition focuses on Dostoevsky’s sojourn in Florence in 1868, when the writer finished his famous novel “The Idiot”. There will be twenty works featured that describe the union between the city of Florence, Dostoevsky, and his novel “The idiot” with the help of the digital technique known as “One Up Art”. In Davide Costantini’s work we can see an intertwining of past and present, contemporary Florence and Dostoevsky, and a fusion that ties the Tuscan capital with the great Russian writer in time and space, creating a cultural bridge between Italy and Russia.
