Novi Sad. The Museum of the City of Novi Sad and the Italian Institute of Culture of Belgrade, in collaboration with “King Studio” by Fausto Fornasari, presents the exhibition “Splendore del Rinascimento” (Splendour of the Renaissance) opening tomorrow at 18:00 and will remain open until June 15th at the Museum of the City of Novi Sad in Petrovaradin. The exhibition will be open every day except Monday from 10:00 to 18:00. The underlining idea of the exhibition project is to revive a part of the Renaissance that has disappeared and can now only be imagined through figurative material. The precious fabrics of the Renaissance and the Baroque period, the sumptuous ceremonial dresses for large Italian court parties and the decorative elements that were created for such occasions are now no longer visible, except for a few and deteriorated original pieces preserved in some museums. The reconstruction of these pieces was made possible thanks to precise techniques allowing for the revival of the past splendour in its emotional and current dimension. (9Colonne)
