(25 April 2018) The president of the Albanian Republic Ilir Meta has conferred the honour of “Mother Teresa” to Senator Pier Ferdinando Casini, “as a sign of appreciation of his prominent role as a politician who embodies the highest values of parliamentarianism, dialogue, and democracy. A bridge between the permanent Italian-Albanian friendship, whose existence and vision have contributed to strengthening the strategic cooperation between Albania and Italy, and a firm supporter of the Euro-Atlantic integration of the Albania” according to a decree of the Albanian Presidency.
