Lima. José Luis Vértiz’s exhibition of watercolours will be inaugurated tonight at 19.30, at the Antonio Raimondi Gallery of the Italian Institute of Culture of Lima and will remain open until July 14th. After graduating in architecture from the Universidad Ricardo Palma, the artist obtained his Master’s Degree in Restoration at the “La Sapienza” University of Rome and has lived in Rome for over 20 years. The artist returned to Peru in 2014 and currently teaches at the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad de Lima and at the Toulouse-Lautrec Institute. Throughout his career, he has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Lima and Rome. The exhibition “A passeggio per Roma” marks his fourth solo exhibition and showcases a selection of watercolours that represent the charm that glimpses of the “Eternal City” have exercised and with which the artist continues to maintain a close emotional bond.
