The BIO4A project dedicated to sustainable aviation fuels, funded under Horizon 2020 is under the coordination of RE-CORD – the Consortium for Research on Renewable Energies to which the University of Florence also participates, and chaired by David Chiaramonti. The project will focus on increasing industrial production capacity and the market deployment of sustainable aviation fuel from used vegetable oils to help achieve the EU’s goal of increasing the quota of biofuels used by aircraft in Europe.
