(21 December 2018) Two more book club meetings scheduled in 2019 for “Noema”, the book club of the Italian Institute of Culture in Stockholm. “The reading group offers a space to share reflections, ideas, thoughts, and emotions through the shared reading of literary texts”, according to the IIC website. The meetings are an opportunity to clarify the boundaries and paths of the books read, stories, and novels, facilitating the reflection on the characters, situations, and nuances. And not least, to learn about contemporary Italian literature. Readings from Italian authors will be proposed from time to time followed by a group discussion: the next meetings will be held on January 23rd with (“La festa nera” by Violetta Bellocchio) and on February 20th (reading to be determined).
