Haifa – For the series “Southern Italy and Sicily – Arts, culture and history”, on January 14, at 10 am, the Beit Aba Hushi Cultural Center in Haifa will host the fourth of eight conferences by art historian Dr. Efi Ziv. The meeting – organized in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute of Haifa – will be dedicated to the secrets of Pompeii. Pompeii, destroyed by the eruption of Mount Vesuvius in 79 AD, offers a rare glimpse into the daily life of about two thousand years ago: magnificent villas, temples, public buildings and bacchanals in the Villa of the Mysteries.
