Warsaw – La Tosca, Giacomo Puccini’s famous lyric opera in three acts, libretto by Giuseppe Giacosa and Luigi Illica was performed for the first time in Rome, at the Teatro Costanzi, on January 14th, 1900. It is considered the most dramatic work by Puccini, as rich as it is with plot twists and turns that keep the spectator in constant tension. The opera will be performed on February 23rd at 19:00 in the prestigious Wielki Opera Narodowa Theatre in Warsaw. The event was organised in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Warsaw. (9Colonne)
