Madrid – Classical music and new talents: these are the protagonists of the musical evening offered in recent days at the Italian Embassy in Madrid by the Henao Quartet, a young string formation belonging to the Italian association “Le Dimore del Quartetto”. The Colombian William Chiquito and the Korean Soyeon Kim on the violin, together with the Italians Stefano Trevisan on the viola and Giacomo Menna on the cello, performed in Residenza based on compositions by Giacomo Puccini, Giuseppe Verdi, and Ludwig van Beethoven. The Henao Quartet was established in Rome within the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia and in October 2018 it was selected by Simone Gramaglia (viola from the Quartetto di Cremona) to become part of the project “Le Dimore del Quartetto”. The latter is an association that supports young emerging Italian and foreign string quartets, and enhances, through multiple concerts, the heritage of historic homes in Italy and abroad, bringing a new audience closer to chamber music.
