(Feb 27) – It is called “In astratto. Arte astratta dalle collezioni di musei liguri d’arte contemporanea”, the first international initiative organized by the newborn Regional Centre of Contemporary Art of Liguria. The event is scheduled in the exhibition rooms at The Estorick Collection of Modern Italian Art in London from June 27th to September 9th. The exhibition, curated by Matteo Fochessati, will present the artistic development of Italian painting of the twentieth century – from the Thirties to the Seventies – in the different facets of abstract language. This exhibition, organized with the contribution of the Estorick Collection, will be structured through a selection of works from the collections of the three main Ligurian museums dedicated to contemporary art, that over the years have been increased by the acquisition of several prestigious private collections. After London, the exhibition will be hosted at the Camec of La Spezia from October 20th to March 24, in 2013. (Ram/Peg)
