(Apr. 30) Gold and jewels, tradition and quality. The jewelry companies from the province of Pavia are well-known worldwide for the excellence of their products, for the attention to details and quality design. Today these companies are ready to explore new markets and are looking for new business partners. In fact, in recent days, the St. Pancras Hotel in London have hosted 8 Italian jewelry companies. The workshop was organized by the Chamber of Commerce through the special agency Paviasviluppo, in collaboration with the Centro Servizio Orafo in Mede, the Italian Chamber of Commerce for the United Kingdom and with the support of the Region Lombardy, Directorate General of Industry, Craft Trade and Cooperation. The companies met thirty British buyers, representatives of jewelry chains, wholesalers and shop owners. The Italian exhibitors have appreciated the professionalism and expertise of British buyers, together with the utmost care and attention with which they approached samples and models. The real interest in “Made in Pavia” jewelries will reach positive results for an industry struggling with the crisis that is hitting Italy, and Europe in general. “The wonderful location that hosted us – said President Giacomo de Ghislanzoni Cardoli – brought us back to the Victorian Era, a period of luxury and class. A good omen for our companies who have made the best with their creations, showing the ability to best exploit the opportunities of internationalization that the Chamber of Commerce has offered them.” (Red)
