(May 10) – The best Apulian agri-food is for the first time protagonist at the International Food Exhibition SIAL, which opened yesterday in Montreal, Canada, at the Palais des Congrès. Ten Apulian manufacturers of oils, preserves, fruit and wine will have the opportunity to promote their products through tastings, meetings with international buyers and workshops. They will also have the chance to participate in one of the most awaited agri-food competitions, “The Olive d’Or Competition”, in which compete 124 olive oils from around the world. A major international showcase attended by about 700 exhibitors from 37 countries and approximately 13 thousand professional visitors from 60 countries. The program is completed by tastings of the products supplied by the companies, with guided tours on local oils, held by Canadian journalist Robert Beauchemin, and a workshop aimed at promoting relations between Canadian and Apulian scientific poles of Canada, organized by the Ministry of Economic Development, Innovation and Export Trade (Quebec).
