(Jun 5th) – The U.S. publishing market has always shown great attention to Italian language and culture. It is no coincidence that ICE has organized and promoted – in collaboration with the AIE, Italian Publishers Association – the Italian presence at BookExpo America 2012, to be held in New York from today and until June 7th. BookExpo America is the most important event in the publishing industry in the U.S. and the largest book market in the world. The Italian pavilion covers an exhibition area of 80 square meters at the Jacob K. Javits Center, in New York. The area serves as an information point on Italian and as a meeting point between Italian and foreign publishers. The 2011 edition of the fair has seen Italy as protagonist in the Global Market Forum, the session of professional meetings held in parallel to the Fair. There have been more than 21,600 trade visitors from around the world, 1,907 exhibitors from 27 countries. The mission organized by ICE has seen the participation of 27 Italian publishers. (Roc/Peg)
