(Jul. 30) – It is closing today in Durazno, in the Historical Museum Casa de Rivera, the exhibition of Monica Incisa, artist from Rome with a prestigious international curriculum which includes collaborations with newspapers and magazines such as the New York Times, Rolling Stone, Vogue Republic and the Messenger. Organized by the Intendencia de Durazno and the Italian Cultural Institute, in collaboration with Culture System Working Group, and within the Year of Italian Culture in Uruguay, the exhibit proposes drawings and collages by Incisa. In recent years, the artist has worked following a very precise technique: she takes a photo of an Italian re-knowned place then draws it by creating areas that will fill, using the technique of collage, with fragments cut from the original picture. Rearranging the image in a thousand facets, shades, prisms, which do not exist in photographic reality but that perfectly recreated. The exhibition was inaugurated on July 5 in the presence of the Italian Ambassador in Uruguay, Andrea Leggeri Massimino. (red)
