(Aug. 17) How multiethnic exactly is Naples? Paola Randi’s film debut tells it like it is. The story of an unemployed scientist, Alfonso, played by Gianfelice Imparato, and a former Sri Lankan cricket champion, Gayan, played by Saman Anthony, sharing an abusive flat built on top of a building in the heart of the Sri Lankan neighborhood in Naples, becomes a wonderful tale of friendship and change. “Into Paradiso” will be played for the first time outside Italy in occasion of the “Professione Regista! Frauenblicke” on August 31 at the Italian Institute of Culture in Hamburg.
