(Aug. 23) From September 27 until September 29, the international show “Shoes From Italy” will be in Hong Kong, presenting the Spring/Summer 2013 collections for women, men and children. Organized by Anci, the National Association for Italian Shoemakers, it aims at connecting the Italian producers with an expanding market. The show dedicated to Italian shoes is part of the larger APLF Fashion Access, an international fashion exhibition dedicated to accessories and clothing. 43 Italian companies will be present in the 5F section – Fashion Avenue of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. The location is not surprising, considering the fact that the 84% of the world’s most prestigious brands has a shop there, thus making HK the second biggest Asian market after Japan. In the past year, sales have increased exponentially, reflecting both an increase in market power by locals and the growing number of tourists, who decide to shop there. The above clearly marks Hong Kong as the main entrance market for Italian products in the Far East region.
