(Sept .27) – The “Week of Italian Language and Culture in the World” in Egypt has been announced today. The Week, organized by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs through Embassies, Consulates, Italian Cultural Institutes, University Lecturers and Italian Schools abroad, is one of the most prominent and internationally recognized events of promotion of Italian Language and Culture in the world since its inception in 2001. Its growing success and increasing number of events are scientifically guided by the Directorate General for the Promotion of the Country System of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The 12th edition of the event will take place in Cairo and Alexandria from 14-24 October and the main theme will be “Italy of the Territories and Italy of the Future”. The official opening will take place on October 14th in Theatre of the Italian Cultural Institute, at the presence of Chancellors of Egyptian Universities where Italian Language is taught, Heads of Departments of Italian Studies. The Ambassador of Italy Claudio Pacifico will open the evening with a speech and the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute Arnaldo Dante Marianacci will present the program of the Week. (red)
