Nov. 2 – ICE, in cooperation with the Italian Embassy in Baghdad, is organizing a collective participation of Italian firms to the 39th International Fair of the city, which runs until November 10. The 2011 edition of the multi-sector fair saw the participation of 30 countries, with 1500 exposers. “Italy is the first European country in terms of commercial exchange with Iraq, and the third (after Germany and France) for volume of exports. In fact, Italian exports increased to €490 million in 2011, for a total increase of 10% compared to 2010.
The main products exchanged are machineries and other equipment dedicated to the energy, oil, and water sectors, as well as the chemical and pharmaceutical industry,” says a note by ICE.
