Nov. 2 – From November 5 until the end of the month, the Budapest Italian Cultural Center will host the “Cinema Suits” exhibit, a unique expo dedicated to the clothes that have become synonym of “Italian style,” thanks to their use in famous films. These dresses will be on show with their accessories, still-frames from their film, short sections of the latter, and black and white reportage that capture the “Dolce Vita” era. The expo was created by MMG International, in cooperation with the Budapest Italian Cultural Institute and the Confartigianato Imprese Roma, under MIBAC (Ministry of Cultural Goods) patronage and the Lazio Regional Council. The expo aims at underlying the strong link between the fashion and cinema industries through creativity, elegance and artisanal capacities of Italy’s tailor shops – still unique in their style. Costumearte, through Gabriella Lo Faro and her collaborators, brought a precious contribution to the exhibit by providing some key fashion pieces.
