Dec. 6 – The F12 Berlinetta was named “Supercar of the Year 2012” by the magazine BBC Top Gear, one of the most influential newspapers in the world in the automotive sector. Ferrari thus receives its 11th award from Top Gear in the past ten years. For the third time Ferrari is awarded the “Supercar of the Year” title – after the one obtained for the F430 in 2005 and 458 Italy in 2009. Charlie Turner, director of the magazine, has thus explained the reasons for his choice: “At the risk of sounding obvious, the award goes to the F12 Berlinetta because it is simply amazing: regal but not intimidating, fast but not apprehensive; sophisticated but never detached. It brings out the best from its drivers, without imprisoning them behind the wheel. And yeah, it’s beautiful.”
