Dec. 6 – The “Emerald Tablet Gallery” in San Francisco, Calif. hosts – from tomorrow to December 16 – the exhibition “Earth and Asphalt,” an exhibition dedicated to travel on a Vespa by Giorgio Serafino and Giuliana Foresi, 37 and 39 year olds from the Marche. The two motorcyclists traveling on the “General Lee” bike and wore Motorcycle Kappa accessories, an Italian company active in the sportswear sector.
The exhibition includes 45 photographs of the tour through the Far East, United States, Italy and Africa. The inauguration will be enriched by a folk country music concert, a reading in Italian and English of excerpts from the book written by Giorgio Serafino “America on a Vespa,” read from the same author and the poet Jack Hirschman.
Kappa Motorcycle, multinational brand of accessories for motorcycles and scooters, including clothing, helmets, cases and soft bags, supported the two travelers, particularly during the tour in Asia and Italy, and during the last summer trip in Africa. “We participate with great satisfaction in the initiative – explains Hendrika Visenzi, vice presiden for the marketing and communications department of the company – our products have actually written the history of motorcycle accessories: it was, in fact, my father Joseph Visenzi to create the first opening trunks. For us, the bike is a way of life, so it is always a pleasure to support enthusiasts like Giorgio and Giuliana.”
The star of the show will naturally be the “General Lee”, a 50 special from 1978 that successfully weathered impervious roads and unexpected challenges.
