Dec. 28 – The photographic exhibition, inaugurated in Parma’s high school of science and music Attilio Bertolucci, details the school’s “peace mission” in Israel and Palestine. In fact, last October, a delegation from the school participated in the mission organized by the National Coordination of Local Authorities for Peace and Human Rights, in collaboration with the European Network of Local Authorities for Peace in the Middle East. The students from the Parma high school, accompanied by the dean and a teacher, were “peace envoys” from Parma, reporting and processing the “seeds of peace” in the region, to plant them in Italy. One of these is the aforementioned photo exhibition, which is open to students and the public. The project was realized with the support of the Province of Parma. During the peacekeeping mission, the group from the Bertolucci high school acted as real journalists, collecting audio-video testimonies, photos, stories, interviews, and documents, with particular reference to young people and the educational processes, and the realization of intercultural processes, interreligious dialogue and peace building.
