Jan. 17 – Fiat Group Automobiles and Kone Corporation, global leader in the production of elevators and escalators, signed an agreement for a period of three years (2013 – 2015) for the supply of Fiat Professional commercial vehicles across Europe. “The bases of this agreement – reads a note from Turin – are the low operating costs of Fiat Professional commercial vehicles (oil consumption, maintenance and repair), the ability of our brand to maintain the high logistics level required by Kone, as well as the quality and extensive coverage provided to the FIAT support network, with more than 6,500 specialized stores in Europe.” Christophe Bertoncini, Director of the European Fleet Fiat Group Automobile, said: “We are proud to have been selected as a preferred supplier by Kone Corporation thanks to our responsiveness to their need for integration and logistics services.” The same satisfaction is shared by Ondrej Chmel, Category Manager at Kone Corporation, headquartered in Espoo, Finland: “The solutions offered by Fiat will contribute to achieving our goal in terms of CO2 emissions and cost containment.”
