Feb. 22 – The Marche is among the partner regions (together with Campania, Emilia-Romagna, Liguria, Puglia) that participate in the Italy Guangdong Traineeship project, which aims to strengthen economic and institutional relations with the Chinese province of Guangdong, through training and traineeship (aimed at business managers of the Italian regions and the Chinese Province) and the creation of public forums. The project is promoted under the MAE program ‘Regions-China,’
led by the Emilia-Romagna Region. “The aim – said the President of the Marche Region, Gian Mario Spacca – is to strengthen the relationships and volume of economic exchange, science and technology between the Italian and the Chinese, with whom the Marche have established economic relations and institutions. In selecting the participants, the jury took into account the most important sectors in terms of opportunities for businesses and territories, with a view of combining skills supply and Italian commercial potential with Chinese entrepreneurs and, more generally, with the demand of this growing market.” The President of the Italy-China Foundation (project supervisor of the project), Cesare Romiti, said that “the prerequisite to be able to start profitable trade relations with China is the knowledge and the building of relationships of trust. This innovative design allows us to foster mutual knowledge between businesses, individuals and cultures, and will lay the foundation for strong ties in the medium and long term, between the two countries, provinces, regions and local partners, businesses and sectors involved. We are pleased that we have been entrusted by the Foundation with such an important project.” At the end of January, Guangzhou (also known in Italian as Canton) hosted the Forum, closing the first phase of the project. The second part of the project will see the Chinese enterprises hosted in the Marche region, probably in the second half of March.
